The Arla Foods yesrterday launched its new product styled 'Dano Vitakids Gold Formula,' a nutritional milk powder for children.

Addressing the launching ceremony at Sonargaon Hotel in the city yesterday, Azim Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Mutual Group and local agent of Arla Foods in Bangladesh, said the new Dano Vitakids Gold Formula is specially designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of children aged between two and six years.

"The Arla Foods of Denmark had launched its Dano products in Bangladesh 46 years ago. The best quality powdered milk of the company has been well received by the consumers of this country as it is produced from the milk of its own firm," he said.

He said the Chinese government imports huge milk powder of the Arla Foods for their children every year.

Azim Uddin Ahmed called upon the government to reduce tax on the imported milk powder considering the nutritional food requirement of children of the country.

Ahmed Kabir, Country Manager of Arla Foods Bangladesh, said the Dano Vitakids Gold Formula contains all required nutrients for optimal physical growth, good health and mental development.

It is also enriched with cere IQ system, a unique combination of important nutrients, formulated to give children the optimal conditions for their cognitive development, he added

He further said that fatty acids, zinc and choline, are important for child's mental and visual development and these ingredients are present in Dano Vitakids Gold Formula.

Dano Vitakids also contains pre-biotic fiber to strengthen the immune system and support a healthy digestive functions for children, he noted.

Aminul Islam, Brand Manager of Arla Foods Bangladesh, also spoke on the occasion.The retail price of each 400 gram packet of Dano Vitakids Gold Formula has been fixed at Tk 295.
