Khaleda petitions: HC for quashing Niko graft case UNB, Dhaka Detained former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has filed a petition with the High Court for quashing the much-talked-about Niko graft case filed against her by the Anti-Corruption Commission. A counsel for Khaleda told UNB that the petition is likely to be heard by the court Tuesday. The anti-graft watchdog filed the Niko graft case with Tejgaon police station on December 9, 2007 for allegedly causing huge loss to the exchequer through signing deals with the Canadian oil company. The same day, a separate Niko case was filed with the same police station against another detained former Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. The charge-sheets in both the cases have already been submitted with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court.
