A week-long workshop aimed at developing the skills of local journalists was inaugurated at the Mymensingh Press Club on May 11 with Mubarak Hossain, Programme Officer of Mass Line Media Centre in the chair. Mass Line Media Centre (MMC) with assistance from CARITAS, Switzerland organised the programme.

Theofil Nokrek, Regional Director, CARITAS inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest while Zia Uddin Ahmed, Vice President of Mymensingh Press Club, Zillur Rahman Khan, Bureau Chief of Sangbad, Fazlur Rahman Siddiquee of News Today, Syed Reazul Haque and Sharmin Akhtar Sagari of MMC addressed the inaugural session. Twenty journalists including two women journalist from Mymensingh, Netrakona, Jamalpur, Tangail, Kishoreganj and Sherpur districts were participating in the workshop titled skill development and Motivational Training for reporters/correspondents.
