The National Vitamina A+ Campaign 2008 was observed in five upazilas of the Gopalganj district in a befitting manner on May 10.

A total 1,71,938 children in five upazilas of the Gopalganj district aged in between 1-5 years and 1,38,287 children in between 2-5 years were swallowed A+ Vitamin. The 1,71,938 children aged between 1-5 swallowed Vitamin A+ capsule while 1,38,287 children swallowed anthelmic tablets on Saturday by 439 field workers, 244 supervisors at 6 Parmanent centres, 1687 temporary centres.

SM Ashfaque Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Gopalganj, inaugurated the national Vitamin A+ Campaign in Gopalganj district by feeding a vitamin A+ to a child.
