Movement of heavy vehicles through Meghna-Gomti Bridge on the Dhaka-Chittagong High Way will be restricted from today because of urgent repairing work.

The repairing work will take one and a half months.

"During the repairing work, the half portion of the breadth the bridge will remain blocked and other portion will be open for heavy vehicles as one-way route.

Light vehicles from Kachpur or Maynamoti will have to use Bhairab Bridge as alternative." Said Sanawal Haque, Executive Engineer of Roads and Highway Department of Narayanganj.
