A devastating fire that broke out at Ullapara Bazar in Sirajganj district on Friday night burnt 12 shops.

The fire originated from short circuit at around 11.00am of the night and engulfed in to 12 shops including cloth shops. The loss was estimated Tk. around 3 crore.

On information, fire fighters from Ullapara fire srvice and Sirajganj fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after fighting for six hours.

During fight to control the fire, at least six persons received injuries and were admitted to Ullapara 20 bed hospital in critical condition.
