At least seven persons including four female were injured when a boiler of an automatic rice mill was exploded at Malni area in the district on Sunday.

Police and witnesses said the boiler exploded with a bang while a number of people were working at the mill, Seven of the workers were injured in the explosion.

Police, fire service personnel with the help of local people rescued the injured and rushed them to Netrakona Sadar Hospital.

Causes of the explosion could not be ascertained immediately, the sources said.
