The executive committee of Madaripur press-club has been re-constituted on May 11. The new is acting president Belal Khan (UNB) and secretary is MR Mortuza (NTV).

Golam Mowla Akand (Jugantor), the former president and Yakub Khan Shishir (Samokal), the former secretary have been removed from their posts.

Other office-bearers are vice-president MA Khoka (Dinkal), Abul Hasan Shohel (Manabjamin) Cashier, Bashir Ahmed cultural secretary. The executive members are Faruk Khan (Al Mujadded), Sheikh Samuddoha (Sangram), Borhan-us Sultan (New Nation) SM Russel Former president Golam Mowla Akand has been removed by two, third voters of the executive members under section 8 and 5(a). The journalists of Madaripur Press Club alleged that the former president violated the rules of the constitution of the press club.
