Bir Shrestha Mustafa Kamal Museum inaugurated in Bhola Our Correspondent, Barisal Bir-Shrestha Mustafa Kamal museum has been inaugurated at Moutupi village of Alinagor union under Sadar upazila of Bhola district on May 3 last. Major General K M Safiullah Bir Uttam (rtd.), commander of sector three of liberation war, formally inaugurated the museum cum library and Anwarul Iqbal, advisor for local government, rural development and cooperative, was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony held at that premises. Harun Chowdhury, divisional commissioner of Barisal, presided over the inauguration ceremony, which was addressed by Najibor Rahman, joint secretary of local government ministry, Belayet Hossain, Deputy Commissioner, Nikhil Chandra Das, chief executive officer of district council of Bhola, AFM Nurul Amin, district commander of Bhola Muktijoddha Sangshad, Md. Selim, nephew of Birsrestho Mustafa Kamal. Gen. Safiullah in his inaugural speech called for starting the process and procedure of the trial of the war criminals of the liberation war as next political government becomes bound to trial those criminals. Advisor Anwarul Kabir said that as a nation Bangla, speaking people never tolerate any aggression over their language and cultural identity, political sovereignty and economical resources since the historic period and long resistances and Liberation War of Bangladesh was a part of continuation of that consciousness. Maleka Begum, mother of the Bir-Shrestho, also present in programme.
