Adviser for Primary, Mass Education, Women and Children and Cultural Affairs Rasheda K Chowdhury said Rabindranath Tagore is a wonderful genius of Bengali literature.

"Tagore was not mere a poet, rather a novelist, short story writer, philosopher, educationist, musician, actor and also painter," she said while addressing a function titled "Rabindranath: Aloker Jharnadhara" at Shilaidaha Kuthibari Ground here. Local Administration organised the function.

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Nepur Ahmed, the function was addressed, by Additional Secretary of Primary and Mass Education Ministry Kazi Akhter Hossain and Prof. Dr Sarwar Murshid.

The adviser said Tagore acquired special skills on Bangla, English and Sangskrit at his early age. She said our national anthem, composed by the great poet, inspires us every day to patriotism.
