BCB to re-bid title sponsorship right for upcoming tri-nation

UNB, Dhaka

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will call fresh bids for the title sponsorship rights for the upcoming tri-nation ODI series to be held in the capital in June.

The Board decided to re-tender the title sponsorship rights as two bidders - Ad Touch and Axiom Technologies -- failed to meet the floor price, which was set at US$ 500,000.

The BCB also decided to call fresh bids for the In-Stadia advertisement rights (package 2) as three bidders -- Bottom Line, Ad Touch and Axiom Technologies -- quoted below the floor price of US$ 250,000.

The re-tender for both title sponsorship rights and package 2 category will be held on Monday.

The package 2 will cover the naming rights of the two bowling ends, four mid-wicket pitch mats and the boundary ropes.

Meanwhile, there will be no re-tender for the package 1 category which covers the 26 perimeter boards, ground boards, mid wall and floodlight tower. Three bidders -- Indus Adcom (India), Bottom Line and Axiom Technologies -- submitted their bids in this category where the floor price was set US$ 250,000.

BCB's marketing and commercial committee chairman Salman Ispahani, tender and purchase committee chairman Lt. Col. (retd) MA Latif Khan were present during the opening of the bids at the BCB's Navana Tower Office at Gulshan today (Sunday).

The tri-nation series involving India, Pakistan and hosts Bangladesh will be held on June 8-15.

After the single league basis matches, the final of the meet will be held on June 14 at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS).
