Students of Surjasen Hall of Dhaka University is organising a 20-20-cricket tournament in the name of Surjasen Premier League (SPL) following Indian Premier League (IPL) that is ongoing.

A total of 12 groups will participate in the tournament beginning from May 13 at the Mohsin Hall premises.

Participating groups are Cool Finishers, Surjasen Evergreen, Shining Star, Srjasen Challengers, Surjasen Tigers, Triples, Bengal Kings, Black Devil, Surjasen Lions, Rable Express, Royal Panther and Big Boss.

Prof Sirajul Islam, Dean of Business Faculty, will inaugurate the tournament while Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof AFM Yusuf Haider will be present as chief guest.

Besides, Acting Provost of the Surjasen Hall and Chief patron of the tournament Dr Mohammad Saiful Islam and Syndicate Member Prof Rafiqul Islam will be present in the inaugural session.

Marking the event, tournament authority arranged a press conference at the hall auditorium yesterday where Convenor of the tournament Karim Sarkar, Member Secretray Jahangir Alam Sohag and Sayeed Majumder, among others, were present.
