A three-day long film show began at the TSC auditorium of Dhaka University yesterday to raise a founds for saving a cancer patient.

The patient was identified as Amit Lal, son of Murad Lal, an fourth class employment of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of the university.

Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof AFM Yusuf Haider inaugurated the show with Prof Mahfuzul Islam, Provost of the Hall, in the chair. Besides, Former Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, president of Dhaka University Teachers` Association Prof Dr Sadrul Amin, general secretary Prof Anwar Hossain and Moderator of Dhaka University Film Society Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddiqui spoke in the inauguration.

A total of 13 movies local and foreign will be shown.

In the programme, Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital undertook to provide free treatment to him.
