Barrister Andaliv Rahman has been selected unanimously as the new Chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party-BJP (Naziur) at a presidium meeting.

Andaliv Rahman, eldest son of former BJP Chief Naziur Rahman Manzu, was appointed the chairman post of the party. The post had been remained vacant after the death of Naziur Rahman Manzu recently.

The presidium meeting was held on April 26 at its central office at Lalmatia, in the city. Presidium member Taiyabur Rahman presided over the meeting, while Secretary General Shamim Al Mamun, Presidium members Prof Humayun Kabir Hiru, former MP Khalilur Rahman Majumder, Salahuddin Matin Prokash, Amirul Mamin Mukta, Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, Majibur Rahman, Khandkar Sirajul Islam, ABM Azizul Haque, SA Zakaria and Sheikh Farid Ahmed were present.

Besides, wife of late Naziur Rahman Reba Rahman and his second son Ashikur Rahman Shanta were also present at the meeting.
