Arrest warrant against ex-MP Monirul UNB, Comilla The chief judicial magistrate court of the district Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against former MP Monirul Haq Chowdhury and six others, as they failed to appear in the court in an extortion case. The court also rejected the bail petitions of 15 others as they appeared in the court and sent them to jail. Salauddin Ahmed of Kaliajuri area in the town filed the case against BNP leader Monirul and 21 of his associates accusing them of looting and demanding money in toll.
