Over 100 people affected by diarrhoea due to hot weather UNB, Pabna Over 100 people were affected by diarrhoea in the district in last two days due to prevailing severe heat wave. District Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Wadud Mia told UNB that over 100 people, especially children, affected by diarrhoea across the district were admitted to different hospitals and clinics. Fall in ground water level has also created acute water crisis in the district. Ishwardi upazila Met Office Wednesday recorded temperature 40.4 degree Celsius which is highest in the country. It said the scorching heat would continue for next several days. Ninety year old Dilbor Molla, resident of Raninagar in Sadar upazila, told UNB that he never saw such hot weather during his lifetime. Day labourers are the worst sufferers, as they cannot go out for work under the scorching sun.
