Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam on Wednesday visited the coastal district of Bhola and Patharghata of Barguna to observe the ongoing activities of naval contingent deployed there, an ISPR press release said here.

Addressing on the occasions, the Navy Chief expressed his satisfaction over the active role of the naval personnel in helping the cyclone victims and taking up the project "Operation Nabojatra" besides their professional duties in sea.

He monitored the development activities of the naval contingent in Bhola in coordination with the local administration.

Earlier, the Navy Chief formally handed over voter ID cards at Barguna and inaugurated voter list and national ID card registration project at Patharghata.

Among others, Commodore Commanding Chittagong, Commodore Commanding Khulna, senior officers of Naval Headquarters and the local elite were present on the occasion.
