The only woman freedom fighter Rupjan Bewa (80) in Raninagar Upazila under Naogaon district died on April 1, at her Bashbaria village home, after old-age complications. She was the widow of Late Shamsed Ali Mondal. She was buried at her family graveyard on State funeral, attended by local UNO Abdul Alim Khan, O.C. Rafiqul Alam, freedom fighters and others.

Dhamoirhat Upazila voter registration rally held

A big rally of the voters list registration with photos of Dhamoirhat Upazila under Naogaon district was held on April 1, in a colourful ceremony, it was attended among others by UNO Md. Abdur Razzak, Chairman of Dhamoirhat Pourashava Md. Aminur Rahman, O.C. Atiqur Rahman Khan, journalists, chairmen and members of the Union Parishads, NGOs, government staffs, public and others. The rally started from the Upazila Parishad premises, paraded on main roads of Sadar

Upazila. Workshop held

One-day workshop on epidemic and non-epidemic diseases, was held under the auspices of local Health Department, Health Education Bureau, and BCCP, at its district Civil Surgeon office, on March 29, presided over by civil surgeon Dr. Narendranath Dewari. Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. A.B. Siddique, Health Education Officer Matiur Rahman, PP Advocate Sheikh Anwar Hossain, Project Co-ordinator Rezaul Islam and others spoke on the occasion. Local NGOs, staffs of Livestock, Health, Agriculture, Fishery, public and others attended it.

Prize distribution held

The Annual Prize Distribution ceremony of Sultanpur (North) Government Primary School was held on the school premises, in a simple ceremony on March 30, in Naogaon Municipal area.

Naogaon district Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Zubair Hossain, as chief guest distributed prezes among the winners.
