Laid-off jute mill workers' arrear payment from tomorrow BUSINESS REPORT The disbursement of Tk 867.5 million (86.75 crore) for pay arrears of the laid-off jute-mill workers under Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) will start tomorrow (Saturday), after a long wait. On the day, Adviser in charge of Textiles and Jute Ministry Md Anwarul Iqbal will inaugurate the cheque-distribution programme for the workers of Khulna region against their salaries, gratuities and provident funds, said an official announcement Wednesday.
