An inter ministerial meeting today decided to place the draft policy of ship breaking and recycling within the next one month to the cabinet division for its approval.

The meeting chaired by the Secretary to the Shipping Ministry Sheikh Enayetullah discussed title, definition, consultative committee, environment protection, professional security and other issues envisaged in the draft policy.

Officials of labour and employment ministry and representatives of ship breakers association took part in the inter ministerial meeting.
