The CMM court has further extended the time for submission of investigation report in Gatco scam case against former prime minister Khaleda Zia and set May 11 for it.

The report was scheduled yesterday but the Investigation officer pleaded for extension when the case record was put up to the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Rabbani.

Khaleda, her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko and 13 others were accused of corruption in awarding contract to Gatco for handling the Kamalapur Inland Container Terminal.

Arrested in September last year Kaleda was accused in three corruption cases - Gatco, Niko and Baropukuria. But no charge sheet has yet been submitted to the court in any of the cases.

Another report said investigation officer of Anti-Corruption Commission today submitted charge sheet against former minister Barrister Aminul Haq in the case of accumulation of wealth beyond known source of his income amounting to Tk 76.74 lakh.

Metropolitan magistrate Golam Rabbani accepted the charge sheet and sent the record to the Sessions Judge's court for trial.
