NSI gets new chief

Major General Sheikh Mohammad Monirul Islam has been appointed to the National Security Intelligence as director general, the establishment ministry said in a circular yesterday.

Islam has been deputed to the NSI from the Bangladesh Army, it said.

The new appointment came after the former NSI chief, Major General Tajul Islam, went on leave preparatory to retirement.
