It was like a bad T20 innings It was really an unbelievable poor performance by Team India guys at Ahmedabad on Day I of Second Test of Future Cup Series on Thursday last. Kumble and Co-who often boost of their mighty firing powers-were all out for 76, the second ever lowest by the Indians on their ground. The lowest is 75 (in 1987). However, on the earlier occasion India played 30.5 overs. But this time India were all out within 20 overs. Only Irfan (Pathan) and Dhoni could reach the double digit figure. Irfan scored 21 (not-out) and Dhoni made 14. 19 runs came as byes- the second highest head of runs. Everything was over in one session only. At the start of the innings the Indian commentators (including Ramiz Raja of Pakistan) were all praise of the Indian batting depthness. However, at the end of the innings the same propaganda gurus commented it was like a bad day (in cricket each team experience a bad day) T-20 innings. But some others say that the Indians were beaten by the South African pace - pace which the Indians could not face generally. The other thing that could not be ignored is the Indian psyche. That is not strong enough to encounter the tough situation and they love to ponder over the past greatness. Moreover, these days Indians play cricket for money. It has weakened the morale of Kumble brigade. That is why they paid the cost. Abu Musa Miah Lalbagh, Dhaka.
