The undivided Bengal had played a pioneering role in the domain of sweets and confectionaries. It was the best of times for Bengal in the second half of the nineteenth century, and the height of the golden age of Bengal's resurgence. From fine arts to commerce, from culture to industry, from literature to science, in all things there was a glorious flowering of exuberant excellence. The spirit of this era touched the world of confectionary too. Taking inspiration from the era now Khazana presents 'Khazana Mithai,' created with the same passion for excellence that is the hallmark of its hospitality.

At the flagship store Khazana Mithai, superior ingredients will be used to prepare a whole range of traditional sweets (Bengali word Mishti), from Bengal in a hygienic state of the art kitchen. The varied offering of sweets will delight the taste buds of millions.

All wrapped in the distinct traditional warmth of Khazana hospitality.

Avishek Sinha, General Manager of Khazana, said, "We are going to cater to all corporate and social events since 'Mishti' is an integral part of our rich Bengali heritage."

"We always try to give something new to our clients and buyers. We believe in quality sweets. Few months ago, I thought to set up a sweet-store. Though in past time, Bangladesh has a rich tradition of various types of sweets. But recently here sweet-shops cannot provide quality sweets as customers demand. From this thought, we started a new sweet-shop along with our restaurant," said Avishek.

Khazana Mithai master Halwai chef Dudh Kumar Ghosh is in this profession for last 25 years. He had been involved as a professional, working with a premium property like Taj Bengal, a five-star deluxe hotel in Kolkata for more than a decade and had also showcased his culinary skills successfully including places like London.

"We have planning to expand our branches to Chittagong. In future, it will be happened. We ensure quality of sweets with real taste of sweets to our clients," said the GM of Khazana.

Potteries for containing sweets were made of ceramic. Eminent designer Mahin Khan designed these. All these were brought from Patuakhali. There was a speciality of these potteries that basement of potteries were flat though we have habituated to see half oval shaped potteries. Some of the specialities of Khazana Mithai are:

Motichur-ke-Laddu, Kaju Barfi, Badam Barfi, Rasmalai, Chamcham, Gulab Jamun, Kalakand, Chocolate Sandesh, Chanar Payesh and Sugar-free Sponge Rasogolla.

The price ranges of these sweets are from Tk 150 to Tk 700 per kg.
