Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested three persons and seized 1000 bottles of phensidyl and a car from the Jamuna Bridge west toll plaza area in the district on Monday.

The arrested persons were identified as Alamgir Hossain, Jahangir Hossain, 20, and Fazlur Rahman,67.

Police said, acting on a tip-off, a RAB team intercepted a car near the west toll plaza of the Jamuna Bridge and seized 1000 bottles of phensidyl after searching the car. Two passengers and driver of the car were arrested in this connection.

A case was filed with West thana in this connection.
