The Tuberculosis Day was observed in a befitting manner in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on March 14. Tuberculosis is a major public health problem and one of the significant causes of death in Bangladesh. According to present estimation, approximately 300,000 people fall victim to tuberculosis each year and 70,000 die.

Different organisations and BRAC brought out a colourful procession at Gouripur town carrying festoons, placards and banners to mark the day.
