Retailers urged to keep prices of essentials stable

Our Correspondent, Gaibandha

A meeting to keep the price of essentials stable organised by District Administration was held at the conference room of the district Collect orate building here on Monday with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abu Mohammad Yousuf in the chair.

The meeting discussed elaborately about the prices of rice, pulse, soyabean oil, sugar, flower and other food items. The DC urged the retailers not to sell their food items at a high price considering the greater interest of the poor and the fixed income group people.

The retailers listened to the DC and gave their commitment to sell their essentials with a minimum profit. More than 70 retailers of the town participated in the meeting.

ADC (General) Abul Bayes Miah. DE-Food Raihanul Kabir and NDC Redwan Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
