Divisional Commissioner of Khulna, Md. Eunusur Rahman asked the Government officials of the greater Jessore district to step up efforts for earning more revenue.

He was addressing a view exchange meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Jessore recently as chief guest.

He said that the members of the that the Administrative cadre are the most capable persons in the country but the quality of their service leaves much to be desired. He urged them to work with devotion and sincerity for the progress of the nation and the welfare of the people.

It was attended by 21 UNOs of Jessore, Jhenaidah, Narail and Magura districts. Md. Abu-al Hossain gave an account of the various activities in the district. He informed that revenue earning from different sectors stood at Tk. 44 crore 44 lakh 27 thousand.Of this amount Tk. 27 crore 66 lakh 40 thousand 553 came from the sale, of stamps, Tk 8 crore 92 lakh 38 thousand and 805 from the seized goods, Tk. 5 crore 9 lakh 207 earned from certificate cases, Tk. 2 crore 69 lakh 53 thousand 571 earned from land development taxes, Tk. 1 crore 35 lakh 58 thousand 302 from jalmohal and Tk. 37 lakh 54 thousand 186 from mobile court, he informed.
