One person succumbed and another is taking medicare in the Jessore Sadar Hospital when a hand bomb blasted at Kumargatha bazar located in Monirampur Upazila. The incident occured at night on March 16.

According to the report, Lecturer Sanjoy Halder (38) of Moshuhati Degree College and his neighbour Mozam (40) when were passing by a bicycle some miscreants hurled a hand bomb from back.

Superintendent of Police (S.P) Md. Iqbal Bahar and O.C. Ali Azam Siddique visited the place of occurence. They arrested one Rashed (30) and Anisur (32). Locals said, following a feud over land, the miscreants might have caused the incident. A case was registered with the Monirampur Police in this connection.
