One killed in Sirajganj road mishap

Sirajganj, Mar 29: A boy was killed and 25 people were injured in separate road accidents in the district Saturday morning. Local sources said a bus ran over a boy at Ramgati Moholla in the poura area at about 10:30am. The deceased was identified as Injamul, 13, son of late Dulal in the area. The body was taken to morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, 25 people were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Chala in Ullapara upazila at about 10am. Thirteen of the injured were admitted to Ullapara Health Complex and Sadar Hospital. Of them, condition of four was stated to be critical, hospital sources said, reports UNB.

Ward commissioners held in Bogra

Bogra, Mar 29: Joint forces early Saturday arrested two Ward Commissioners and a district Juba League leader from their residences in the town. The arrested were identified as ward no.8 commissioner and local Jamat-e-Islami leader Ershad Bari, ward no.7 commissioner and BNP town unit leader Delwar Hossain Pashari alias Hiru and District Juba League general secretary Sagar Kumar Roy. Acting on a tip-off, the joint forces raided the houses of Ershad, Delwar and Sagar in the town's Jamilnagar, Sutrapur and Badurtala areas at about 1:30am and arrested them, reports UNB.
