At least three workers were killed and 15 others injured in a re-rolling mill boiler explosion at Kachpur in Narayanganj early yesterday.

Two of the deceased were identified as Mojakker alias Mujahid and Rabiul.

Demra firefighters said the boiler of South-East Steal and Re-Rolling Mills exploded at about 12:30am, leaving two workers dead on the spot and injuring 16 others. Mujahid succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Of the injured, conditions of four were stated to be critical.
