Bangladeshi farmer shot dead by BSF BSS, Chapainawabganj A Bangladeshi farmer was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Sonamasjid border under Shibganj upazila of the district this morning, BDR sources said. The victim was identified as Saidur Rahman, 25, son of Siddiqur Rahman of Unishdighi Azmatpur village under Shibganj upazila. Commanding Officer of 39 Rifle Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Mijanur Rahman said Saidur was gunned down by members of 123 Mollik Sultanpur BSF Camp near 185/2s pillar on Sonamasjid frontier while he was working in cropland at around 10 AM. Later, a flag meeting was held between BDR and BSF on Sonamasjid border following a protest letter sent by Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), he said.
