Bangladeshi co to invest $15.6m in Karnaphuli EPZ M/s. Modiste (Bangladesh) Limited, a Bangladeshi company is going to set up a textile and garments manufacturing industry in the Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone. This 100 per cent locally owned company will invest US$15.6 million and will produce textile and garments items. The company will create employment opportunity for 1,819 Bangladeshi including seven foreign nationals. An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s Modiste (Bangladesh) Limited in BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on March 16. General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Managing Director of M/s Modiste (Bangladesh) Limited signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The Executive Chairman of BEPZA and other officials were present on this occasion.
