BCB must come to senses
Following the deplorable defeat in test and ODI matches of our national cricket team against the South African National team in the recent past, it was expected that the whimsical selectors would resign, but instead of resigning, they boast of making ODI players play test cricket in place of genuine test players having patience, experience, form and fitness. The whimsical selectors did much harm to our cricket. They themselves don't know the differences between a test cricketer and a ODI cricketer.
They forced our ODI cricketers not to know the basic differences between the test cricket and the ODI cricket. As a result our genuine ODI cricketers failed to perform in the ODI matches. If our experienced test cricketers like Javed Omar Belim Golla, Khaled Masud Pilot, Rajin Saleh, Aloke Kapali who are in form, fitness & patience could play in the first test, the result would come in our favour. That is say that the whimsical and shameless selectors are destroying our both test and ODI cricket.
This shouldn't be allowed to happen. As they didn't resign & they boast of being selectors, they should either be dimissed or they should undergo through an academic course or training for making them understand the basic differences between test cricket and ODI cricket and for making them identify the basic differences between test cricketers and ODI cricketers.
It is to be remembered the ever genius test cricketer Sunil Gavasker of India was equally a bad ODI cricketer. The ever genius ODI batsman Michal Bevan of Australia was not selected for test matches. It is only recently, following a great pause, test batsman Hashim Amla of South Africa was selected for ODI matches.
Our whimsical selectors of national cricket team don't know these basic grammar of test and ODI cricket. By giving power to these unfit whimsical selectors, the BCB can't avoid its responsibility. The BCB should volunteer itself forward to protect our cricket.
ABM Moniruddin.
