At least 10 students of Sir AF Rahman Hall of Dhaka University were injured in an attack by activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Friday night. Witnesses said the JCD activists, led by its hall unit organising secretary Himel, attacked the room No 201 as its residents tried to resist a group of JCD men for their attempt to push some of their fellowmen into the room.

According to the victims, the JCD men ransacked the room and looted some of their valuables.

Five of the injured, including Raju, Abid and Zahir, were admitted to the university medical centre.
