Alhajj Mohammad Belayet Hossen is vying for the post of director in the FBCCI election to be held on March 17. He is representing Bangladesh Chemical and Perfumery Merchants Association.

Belayet, a candidate from Annisul Huq panel, believes that the apex business body FBCCI can play a vital role in the economic development of the country.

Talking to newsmen Belayet said, if elected, his panel will take appropriate measures through discussing with the people concerned so that price of essentials come to the tolerable level of the common people.

Requesting to vote him on Monday's election he said, once elected, he will try to save his sector from the harassment of revenue officials and law enforcing agencies.
