Plea to allow hapless candidates to appear in HSC exam

Staff Reporter

A number of guardians at a press conference in the city alleged that the Dhaka Board did not allow their wards a chance to fill up forms for the final HSC examination violating the order of the Education Ministry.

The press conference held at Dhaka Reporters Unity yesterday was attended by a number of students of several reputed colleges who were disallowed in the test examination.

The guardians pointed out that the Education Ministry in a circular on February 14 this year permitted candidates, disallowed in the test, to appear in the Finals of the public examination and declared the rule of October 10, 2003 null and void.

They also claimed that their sons and daughters, who were very talented, would pass in the examination should they be given a chance to appear.

They requested the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board of Dhaka to abide by the rules of the Education Ministry and allow these hapless HSC candidates to appear in the examination.
