Power supply to 4 hospitals in city disrupted for 10 Hrs UNB, Dhaka Power supply to four major hospitals in the capital was disrupted for about 10 hours on Saturday for technical glitch in the line. According to official sources, electricity supply to Shishu (Children' s) Hospital, Orthopedic Hospital, Suhrawardy Hospital and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hospital0-all located in a same block in- between Agargaon and Shyamoli-went off following a technical fault in an 11KV feeder line of Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (DESA). However, DESA engineers rushed to the spot immediately and started repairing work. It took about 10 hours to mend the fault and they restored electricity supply to the four hospitals at about 3:30pm.
