Kibria murder case: Police asked to submit charge- sheet at earliest

Home Secretary Mohammad Abdul Karim on Thursday said the police had been asked to submit charge sheet in the murder case of former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria at the earliest.

Briefing reporters, emerging from the 58th meeting of monitoring cell for quick settlement of the sensational murder cases in the home ministry conference room, he said, it discussed progress in 13 murder cases, of which charge sheets were submitted in four.

Chaired by Home Adviser Major General (retd), the meeting discussed the progress of Kibria murder case and asked the police to submit charge sheet, after examining the laws related to the case, said the home secretary.

The meeting, he said, expressed satisfaction at the progress of achieved in the cases.

He said that 10 other cases were discussed at the previous meeting of the cell while seven more cases would be discussed at the next meeting.

He said, discussed the case of murder of Minhazul Abedin Tanim, who was a student of class three of Comilla Ibne Taimia School and College, the case murder of two persons by dacoits at Mirpur section 1, murder of two in the hands of hijackers while they were hijacking an autorickshaw at Narayanganj, Mohammad Humayan Kabir alias Sabbir murder case, Mohsin Riyasat Sobhan murder case, Advocate Khorshed Alam Bachchu murder case, businessman Alhaj Shahidullah murder case at Mirpur, Kazi Suhis Nahar murder case at Dhanmondi, Mostafa Kamal Uddin murder case, suicide murder case of Hasna Hena at Gazipur, Businessman Mashiur Rahman Parvez murder case, Didar murder case and Taloda union parishad chairman murder case.
