Call to raise awareness on quality management

Speakers at a seminar said that a huge efficiency could be visible in the public administrations and private management sectors of Bangladesh if the total management system could be implemented.

The seminar on Total Quality Management and its Application in the Public Sector organised by the Department of Public Administration of Jahangirnagar University at its seminar room with a view to creating awareness among the students about the management on Sunday.

Prof Danis S. Tashiki, Prof of Tamgaowa University, Tokyo, Japan said as chief guest that efficiency of masses could be visible in the public administrations and in the private management sectors of Bangladesh if the total management system can be implemented.

"Mass people of the country are the heart of any welfare state" he added.

The seminar was addressed by Muinul Islam, Mrs Tomalilea Sultana, M. Shamsul Alam, M. Mahmudur Rahman among others, while Prof Abul Qashem, Chairman of Public Administration Department was in the chair.

Prof Tashiki also informed that the Japanese government will provide assistance regarding training in the total management system which will be helpful to Bangladeshi students. Later Prof Tashiki observed various programmes of the newly introduced JU public administration Department.
