Absconding convict held in Rangpur BSS, Rangpur Kotwali police arrested an absconding convict from his house in the town on Saturday night, police sources said. Acting on secret information, a special police squad raided the house of Alam, 35, son of late Ranu Munshi of Ashratpur Chalkbazar and arrested him. Alam was sentenced to ten-years rigorous imprisonment in a murder case in 1999. The arrested was produced before a Rangpur Court from where he was sent to Rangpur central jail today, the sources said.
