A seminar titled 'Towards a New Disability Law in the Light of UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities' will be held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre here on Monday.

Action on Disability and Development (ADD) has organised the seminar, beginning at 10am, where Professor Michael Stain of Harvard University will present the keynote paper.

Eminent economist Prof Muzaffer Ahmad and Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Brig Gen (retd) Abdul Malek are expected to attend the first and second sessions of the seminar as chief guests respectively. Barrister Amirul Islam, Social Welfare secretary MA Hai Hawlader, Justice Golam Rabbani (retd), journalist Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Barrister Sara Hossain, Barrister Farah Kabir and Mark Harrison, among others, will be present.
