Phensidyl trader gets life-term in Magura Our Correspondent, Magura Additional District and Session Judge Md. Nazir Ahmed has convicted one accused Sultan Molla, son of Daliluddin of village Binodpur of Mohammadpur upazila found guilty of keeping and selling of banned drug Phensidyl and sentenced him to suffer imprisonment of life-term along with a fine of Taka 10 thousand in default to suffer RI. for another one year, in a judgment delivered on February 1 at noon. Another two co-accused namely Jubu and Mona were acquitted being found not guilty of the charge. In brief, the prosecution story is, on 24 Sept. 2005 police arrested those three accused persons and recovered 28 bottles of banned drug item Phensidyl from their custody. The police officer had started a criminal case. After recording the evidences the learned judge has convicted one of them. APP Sanjit Kr. Biswas conducted the prosecution case and Advocate Golam Nabi defended the accused persons.
