Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)- 8 of Madaripur camp headed by Major Anwar Us-Sadat recoverd 38 kg of Nitric Acid and 35 kg of Sulphuric Acid from a gold polishing shop at Takerhat Bazar under Rajoir upazila of the district on 17 February.

RAB arrested Sabuj Moral (19) a salesman of the shop, RAB sources said the acids were kept for illegal sale. Acting on a tip- off, RAB went to shop in guise of buyer.

This shop had been selling acids illegally for long, RAB also said preparation is going on to file case against the salesman and Md. Moniruzzaman, owner of the shop. Eveteasers and misguided youths were engaged in buying acid from this shop, local people said.
