Youths urged to create social movement against corruption

Lt.Gn. Hassan Mashhud Chowdhury (retd.), chairman of anticorruption commission giving five-point directives to anticorruption committees called to involve young generation in fight against corruption.

ACC chairman was addressing a meeting of exchange of views with the officials and members of the district and upazila anticorruption committees at Barisal Auditorium on Tuesday morning.

He directed these committees to do anticorruption movement voluntarily, work in well-organized way, making the committees transparent, accountable and acceptable to all and not to create any controversial, avoid inner conflict inside the committees and work more than talk.

ACC chairman said that within next two months grand anticorruption gatherings would be held in divisional headquarter level including Barisal.

Anticorruption committees and movement would never be blocked and be acceptable and expandable day by day by involving mass people.

He calling indentifies corrupted persons and makes them controversial and censurable by creating social anticorruption movement.

ACC chairman on Tuesday morning also addressing gathering of students at Barisal Govt. Zilla School and B M College students call to hate corruption and involve in anticorruption movement for betterment of their own future and the country.

He led the anticorruption and antidrug addiction oaths of the students and inaugurated function of the anticorruption committee of Transparency International Bangladesh.

Dr.Iftekharuzzaman, executive director of TIB and head of the concerned institutions were also present in this program.

ACC chairman also visited Bhola and Jhalakati district town and exchanged views with cross section of people about fight against corruption.

He however requested and called upon all to remain alert and united against any corruption by creating such mental pressure on the corrupted persons, so that they would surrender before the nation by exposing own evils.

Anti-corruption movement has already been started and would be completed successfully. It would not be forcibly imposed and would be spontaneous from the all parts of the society. If we tolerate corruption then next generation would never forgive us, he further said.
