Four official and employees of Sundarbans East Zone were suspended yesterday for taking bribe from the fishermen.

Local Forest Department took the punitive action against acting officer of Shela outpost KM Kabir Uddin, forest guards Abu Musa and Zulfiker Ali and boatman Golam Mostafa.

Deputy Forest Officer of Sundarbans East Zone SM Shahidullah said the accused took Tk 17,400 bribe from 15 fishermen for allowing them for fishing in the restricted zone. The accused, however, refund the money to the fishermen on February 8.
