A week-long blood grouping programme began on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus on Saturday under the auspices of "Swajon", a voluntary blood donation organisation.

The blood groups of as many as 150 students were identified on the first day of the programme, inaugurated by RU chief medical officer Dr. Mirja Yajed Beg. Chairman of the Biochemistry department of RU Professor Rejaul Karim, Pofessor Anwarul Karim and Dr. Nadina Begum, among others, also addressed the inaugural ceremony.
