According to a newspaper report, crows in Patuakhali town are dying in large number. About 150 crows have died during the last one or two days. They were seen falling from the trees and dying suddenly! The district livestock officials are reportedly investigating the cause of their sudden unnatural death.

What has happend to the crows in Patuakhali? I am afraid, they might have been attacked by Avian Flu virus or exposed to some deadly chemicals due to environmental pollution!

Anyway it is sincerely hoped that the experts will soon be able to isolate the element/factor responsible for the sudden death of the crows.The crow is a bird which is reputed for her harsh voice. Still, a crow renders valuable service to the city dwellers! About two and a half kilogram of domestic refuges and other garbage are being eaten up by a single crow alone every day! This reduces the volume of our daily garbage deposit.

935 false statements only!

Quoting a recent study conducted by two journalsim organisations, the AP reported from Washington that President Bush and top administration officials issued 935 false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attack!

The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and,in the process,led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses".

What a pity! Peace deliberately thrown into astray!
