In a raid members of DB police recovered 10 bottles of rectified spirit from a bus at Dhanghara area near SP office of the town here on January 24.

Sources said on a secret information a team of police led by SI Ashok Shingha halted a Gaibandha-bound bus Muktijodhya Paribahan in front of SP office of the town on Thursday and recovered 10 bottles of rectified spirit worth about Tk 20,000 from a passenger. One person was identified on the spot as Ayub Ali 37 son of Fazal Uddin at Durgapur village of Sadar Upazila in the district.

According to his confessional statement, they also arrested another associate Ishrail Hossain, son of Yousuf Ali at Raghamajhi area of Shajahanpur thana of Bogra district on Thursday.

A case was filed with Sadar Thana in this connection. The arrestees were sent to the jail hajat through court.
