Atiq Rahman wins UN award for environment
Atiq Rahman Dr. Atiq Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies, has won the UN world award for environment 'Champions of the Earth-2008. The award was given this year on a regional basis and Dr Atiq won if for the Asia Pacific Region. The Champions of Earth are invited to accept their award at an international ceremony, which will be held in Singapore on April 22, 2008.
